A Peoria Park District Facility

PlayHouse Everywhere

While the Peoria PlayHouse Children's Museum building is closed, we remain committed to our mission: helping children become explorers and creators of the world.  We are thrilled to launch a new membership opportunity, PlayHouse Everywhere, featuring exciting, accessible program initiatives that help to continue to share the value and energy that the PlayHouse is known for outside of the four walls of our facility.

PlayHouse Everywhere is a wonderful way to support your family and the PlayHouse. In addition to gaining exclusive access to quality programming, your membership also helps the PlayHouse cover operating costs while we are closed and is a valuable show of support that will help us make sure that we are able to reopen stronger than ever when the time comes. Thank you for helping us continue to help children be explorers and creators of the world everywhere AND for helping us continue this wonderful work once our doors reopen.

The Small Print: Membership Terms and Conditions:

Membership covers one family, including two adults and all children under 18 living in a single household, at a shared address. Member may not assign their membership to any other individual or family, and membership may not be used by individuals outside of the household covered by the membership.

Memberships start the date purchased, beginning in October. (Memberships purchased in September 2020 begin October 1, 2020.) If you purchase a membership and would like it to start the first day of the following month, you must contact the Development Coordinator by phone or email.

Memberships automatically renew monthly until the month the PlayHouse reopens. Because we do not know yet when that will be, 12/31/21 is set as the default expiration on all memberships.

There is a three month minimum enrollment. After three months of consecutive membership, members may cancel for any reason. Members must contact Development Coordinator by phone or email in order to cancel.

To save costs and trees, no membership materials will be mailed. You do not need a card for this membership. Any materials and information you need for programs and other offerings will be shared by email.

Benefits of membership are subject to change. In particular, the Peoria Park District is committed to following state regulations and CDC recommendations related to COVID, and will adapt program offerings should these regulations and recommendations change.

Membership benefits expire at the end of each month and cannot roll over into the next month.

Member is responsible for making monthly membership payments to the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum. If member does not make a payment, membership will be terminated.

Members shall abide by all rules and regulations of the Peoria Park District and the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum.

If membership is cancelled, to resume membership, members must purchase a new membership, including the three-month minimum membership obligation.

PlayHouse Everywhere Membership FAQ:

When are these memberships available?

  • The memberships start October 1, but you can sign up starting in September.

How long is a membership term?

  • The memberships are automatically set to renew until either you stop them or when we reopen our building. We are setting the date for this in our registration system as 12/31/21 - this date is only a placeholder, because we do not know how long it will take us to get to Phase 5 of COVID recovery.

If I purchase a membership and decide I no longer want it, how do I unenroll?

  • Please email or call Jocelyn McDowell, Develoment Coordinator, at jmcdowell@peoriaparks.org, or 309-681-2861

What if I am already a PlayHouse member?

  • You should have received both mailed and emailed membership update information - if you did not, please contact us and let us know so we can check our mailing list for accuracy. Members received options to keep memberships frozen, convert memberships to PlayHouse Everywhere memberships, or turn their remaining membership dollars into a renewal. Please contact Jocelyn McDowell (jmcdowell@peoriaparks.org or 309-681-2861) for additional information or to change your status.

Can I keep my membership frozen or donate my membership and still sign up for PlayHouse Everywhere?

  • Yes! If you have a membership in our system, you can choose to freeze or donate it and still get the 20% discount on Play Everywhere memberships. If the system does not give you this discount, please contact us.

Is there a reduced-price option for those in economic need?

  • Yes! Families who are PlayHouse Explorer Members (our ongoing subsidized membership program), who receive LINK or WIC food subsidies, or who qualify for Peoria Park District scholarships can purchase these memerships at half price. To enroll, you will need to visit theNoble Center in Lakeview Park (1125 W Lake Avenue) on a weekday between 8am and 1pm, and bring documentation of WIC or LINK status or scholarship qualification. If you have questions about what you need to bring, please call us before you come, at 309-682-1200.

Can I give these memberships as a gift?

  • Yes, there is a gift membership option on this page! Memberships make a wonderful gift for friends, family, or any parents and children who are working hard and need some play time right now!
