2020 Summer Maker Program
May 11 – Aug 16 all-day

The Peoria PlayHouse Summer Maker Program begins on Memorial Day: Monday, May 11 and ends on Sunday, August 16. We hope this program encourages you to try out different types of tools and inspires you to make fun projects, all summer long!

Our Maker Map is available on the Innovation at Home webpage. Usually some projects must be done at the PlayHouse, but this year we have adapted the program so that they can all be done at home!

For every FOUR stamps you collect, you’ll receive a Dairy Queen coupon. Those who complete all 16 challenges will be entered to win an EXCLUSIVE PlayHouse party for the people in your household (and depending on updated Social Distancing guidelines, a few friends, too!)

To be eligible to win a prize, submit photos of your completed challenge using this submission form on our website. Within a week, you will receive an email with your Maker Map with stamps for every challenge you complete. And don’t forget to share your photos on social media using the hashtag #PHSummerMakers!

Virtual Career Days are a partnership between Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum’s Be Anything! program and Peoria Public Schools Foundation’s See It. Be It. Watch this Virtual Career Day on our Facebook page or YouTube channel.

The Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum’s Be Anything! is an innovative program that propels “Take Your Child to Work Day” to a new level. Help a child in your life explore the careers that excite them. Learn more about Be Anything! here.

Peoria Public Schools Foundation’s See It. Be It. career exploration program drives student excitement and interest in career options through experiences with working professionals. Students in K – 5th grade meet face-to-face with people in various occupations to learn about jobs and the corresponding skill sets required to be successful in a career. Simply, if they can See It, they can Be It.
