Hopscotch 2023: It's Your Turn to Play

HopScotch is the Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum’s annual adults-only fundraising event. Leave the children at home and enjoy whiskey-based cocktails and craft brews from local restaurants and breweries. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, play games, bid against other attendees in our silent auction, and take a chance to win the grand prize raffle.

Homeschool Inspired by Nature – Nature’s Form & Function @ Bonnie W. Noble Center

The PlayHouse offers STEAM Homeschool classes at the Bonnie Noble Center in which students explore topics and activities related to science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.

Join us this fall on the third Thursday of each month at the Noble Center to explore Biomimicry!

What does it mean to be inspired by nature? How can humans look to nature as a teacher for engineering and design? In this class, students will take a deep dive into how “form follows function” in the natural world.

 

This program is for school-aged children between the ages of 4 and 12.

Advance registration is required.

Be Anything! 2024 @ Glen Oak Park

Be Anything! just got a major upgrade!

This year, the Peoria Park District is doing something extra special and combining our Worldwide Day of Play with our Be Anything event and auction! Your family can come out and see the awesome talent and unique capabilities of the Peoria area.

We are working with several community partners to offer job shadowing experiences in healthcare, education, engineering, and all kinds of fun and amazing jobs. The opportunity of Be Anything! will bring something not offered anywhere else!

There are two ways your family can participate in Be Anything!

  1. Attend the magical day on May 11th from 10 am to 2 pm in Glen Oak Park for our World Wide Day of Play & Be Anything!
  2. Participate in our auction, open from May 5-11th, and give your child the chance to learn all about the cool things you get to do in one of our unique career opportunities.
