The Peoria PlayHouse Children’s Museum offers dynamic programming that sparks creativity and curiosity through hands-on experiences, S.T.E.A.M. activities, and cultural storytelling. From infants to teens to everyone in between, every program is designed to inspire learning and bring families together.

Fun For Younger Kids
Looking for something for you 1-5 year old to do? Tot Time and Nature Niños are so much fun they won’t even know they are learning.
For years PlayHouse visitors have enjoyed our weekly Tot Time program, where young children enjoy music, storytime, art, and exploration. Now the PlayHouse is collaborating with our sister facilities throughout the Peoria Park District we offer Nature Niños—a program for preschool-aged children and their caregivers that blends S.T.E.A.M. activities, movement, and stories while incorporating Spanish vocabulary, songs, and storytelling. Join us at Lakeview Recreation Center, Forest Park Nature Center, the Peoria Zoo, and Luthy Botanical Garden!

Fun For All
Sometimes a family activity is just what you need. Join us to create and explore together.
These programs are fun for all ages – including adults! Join us for an Open Art Studio, where visitors can play with art materials and forms and make their own works of art, and Be Anything!, our career day and auction introducing children and families to a wide range of careers. Family Workshops offer families the opportunity to exercise their creativity and make whatever they want at our new maker space in the Noble Center in Lakeview Park. And Cultural Connections are programs offered in partnership with community partners, introducing children and families to the wide range of cultures and traditions in Peoria.

Fun For Older Kids
For kids who are getting older – we’re growing with them! We now offer Dungeons and Dragons, and Maker Workshops for 8-18 year olds at the Noble Center!
At age 8 your child may be starting to outgrow the PlayHouse exhibits, but they can still enjoy programs that engage them in exploring and creating! Our programs for older kids include Dungeons & Dragons and Maker Workshops.
Looking for something for your 13-16 year old to do this summer? Consider encouraging them to apply to be a PlayHouse Teen Intern!
